Traditional farmstead in 7 Pilas, near Cortes de la Frontera

Ref: AM02022024

A traditional farmstead with spectacular mountain views located in the hamlet of 7 Pilas. Perched on the side of the mountain, it feels remote, surrounded mountains, it is very peaceful and tranquil, yet 5 minutes from the hamlet and 10 from Cortes de la Frontera.

There are three properties on offer each priced at the listed amount, which are sold individualy at 45,000 euros each or together for a total of 135,000 euros.

The farmstead has been in the family for generations. It is very basic, like going back in time. There is no electricity or plumbing, but there are three wells on the property and an electricity point some 100 metres up the hill if preferrable to solar. It is a project. The track up to the finca needs repair, and the three houses need varying degrees of work. The houses are built in the traditional style and are solid with thick stone walls. The main plus is the aspect and location of the property, the land is beautiful, and the views from all parts of the farmstead are incredible.

The main farmhouse has been split in two, with their own separate entrances. Then there is a stand alone building, more of a barn, across the track from the farmhouse.

The smaller half of the farmhouse consists of a  room aproximately of 10 metres by 5, with a fireplace at the far side, and a room upstairs of the same dimensions. It has a small kitchen attached to the side with a flat roof upon which can be built another room adjoining the one above. There is a patio built in front of the house with an ancient vine, and it is terraced with stone slabs, now covered with earth and grass. This house comes with a field aproximately 50 metres by 20, housing a well full of water.

The other half of the farmstead is larger, on one story. The entrance is behind the house, where there is a large round threshing circle with old stone walls belonging to this house. This property has more land, aproximately 5000 metres square, with stone walled pens for  stabling the animals and two wells. Tall oak trees are scattered around the land, and there is also a gigantic ancient fig tree.

The barn across the track is much smaller, one up one down. It has 2000 square metres of land, encircled by stone walls. It could be used as guest acomodation or holiday acomodation to bring in some income.

It is a property that has to be seen in person in order to fully take it in. It is a serious project, but the location is so spectacular it is one worth embarking on. Perfect for horses as has plenty of fairly flat land and stabling areas.
